To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for visitors and exhibitors, all vehicle exhibitors must comply with the following guidelines.
Event overview
Celebrate Chessington is a community festival featuring local organisations, entertainment, and displays. Vintage and historic vehicles are invited to participate as part of a static exhibition.
Space for vehicles is limited and applications are subject to approval by the event organisers.
Arrival and access
All vehicles must:
- Arrive within the designated arrival time window provided by organisers.
- Enter the site via the designated vehicle access point.
- Follow instructions from event marshals at all times.
Large vehicles or vehicles arriving by trailer may be allocated earlier access times.
Once positioned, vehicles must remain in place until the designated departure time unless instructed otherwise.
Vehicle movement
For safety reasons:
- Vehicles must not be moved during public event hours.
- Engines should not be started unless authorised by event staff.
- Any movement of vehicles must be supervised by event marshals.
Display safety
Exhibitors must ensure:
- Vehicles are safe and stable for display.
- Any fuel, oil, or mechanical risks are appropriately managed.
- Suitable precautions are taken to prevent visitors from entering unsafe areas.
Where appropriate, exhibitors may be asked to use:
- Wheel chocks
- Barriers
- Warning signage
Insurance
Vehicle owners are responsible for ensuring their vehicles are appropriately insured.
The event organisers cannot accept liability for:
- Damage to vehicles
- Loss of property
- Accidents arising from the condition or operation of vehicles
Vehicles attend the event at the owner’s own risk.
Behaviour and conduct
All exhibitors are expected to:
- Follow directions from event staff and volunteers.
- Behave respectfully toward visitors and other exhibitors.
- Maintain a family-friendly environment.
Photography and promotion
Photographs and videos may be taken during the event for promotional and community purposes.
Acceptance of applications
Submission of an application does not guarantee a place in the display.
Organisers may select vehicles based on:
- Space availability
- Variety of vehicle types
- Suitability for the event
Applicants will receive confirmation prior to the event.
